Different Cardio Workouts

I recently discussed to you on my previous post the different risk factors of heart diseases. Now I will show you how to prevent cardiovascular illnesses by just doing what we already do, exercise. While we exercise because of just having a toned and fit body, I will enumerate to you what activities can give more benefits for our heart.

Swimming
Swimming is a technique where we move all parts of our body in order to move in the water. Considered as one of the best cardio workout and whole body workout were we use all our body muscles all at the same time. Swimming is a great start for strengthening and improving body stamina. Although not for everyone who cannot swim and has no pool, regular swimming activity can boost immune system and normalize pulse rate.

Yoga Aerobics
Yoga especially Ashtanga, is the most physical Yoga exercise which involves tight stretching and super aerobics move at the same time. Ashtanga yoga includes heavy breathing or commonly called victorious breath. It keeps the breath steady by passing it across the back to throat. Ashtanga Yoga involves all major and minor muscle groups in the body. It’s considered total body work out that does not only burn fats but it also improves muscle joint mobility and flexibility.

Boxing and Basketball
The best sports you can try on. Boxing and basketball is considered as the two best sports workout that is highly attributed to our hearts health. The heart rate for this two workouts range 50%-70% of a person's maximum heart rate.

Running is the most popular cardio workout available today. You don't need a basketball court, swimming pool or a boxing equipments to do this exercise. Taking a jog every morning is the other way to improve cardiovascular health.

Power Walking Slow Cardio Resistance
Considered as the most convenient way of cardio exercise available today. Power walking has no age limitations and is recommended for senior citizens. Power walking is designed to build endurance and speed. Power walking include ankles, hips, and knees. It works the quadriceps, gastrocnemius, hamstrings, hip flexors, and soleus muscles.

Sex
Yes, you read it right. Sex is one of the best cardio exercise you can try. a 30 minutes love making is equal to 1 kilometer run and 500 meter swim. Off course it is not for everyone and for adults who are married only.

Other activities that is worth to mention are badminton, biking and hiking. Always remember to drink a lot of water and stretching before and after you do any workout. These workouts are proven to burn calories fast and promotes wellness.
