Introduction To Dental Health
A healthy teeth can give you that boosting confident smile. You must take good care of your teeth at an early age. Life with incomplete teeth can be so difficult eating wise. So what are the different ways on how to take good care of our teeth? Below are some of my personal advice.Don't eat rubbery or hard to chew foods
You should be the one to know your teeth capacity of what food you can chew. Tough to chew foods such as half cooked red meats, nuts and others can damage or break one of your tooth. Make sure to avoid foods that stresses your jaw by chewing hard. Foods that are chewable are helpful to our digestion and relieves stress for our teeth.
Avoid sweet or sugary foods
It is proven that sweet foods like candies, cakes, ice creams and others can cause tooth decay. Limit your intake of these food and you will have a healthy teeth.
Use the right brush for your teeth
Correct brush is necessary for dental health. Dentists usually recommend soft end rounded bristles. Using the wrong kind of brush and wrong brushing method will cause tooth abrasion. Choose a brush that fits your mouth and can reach all the way back of your teeth and gums. Dispose your brush after 4 months of use.
Brush your teeth 3 times per day
Limit brushing your teeth to only 3 times or after breakfast, lunch and dinner. Brushing more than that number will make your teeth thin and cannot last long as you age.
Visit your dentist 3 times a year
A regular visit to your dentist can spare you from a tooth caries, decays and other dental problems. Always have your teeth and gums checked and cleaned by your doctor. This will make your overall oral health better. Also you may ask advice about some of the teeth whitening products that are out in the market. Ask them what product is good for your teeth and what is not.
Drink a lot of water
Water can help clean your teeth when you are in a situation that you can't brush. You can also use mouthwash to eliminate germs from your gums and teeth caused by foods. Always keep a mouthwash with you rather than chewing gums to freshens breath.
Always remember that we should take good care of our dental health in every way we can. To those parents, take care of your baby's first sign of tooth and you must educate your kids on how to treat their oral health well.
