Yoga For Babies
Recently launched in Manila, Yoga Stretchycise program was developed by a partnership with the countries premier diaper line - Pampers, Gymboree Play & Music, and the Mother and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines or MCNAP. Its objective is to spread the health benefits of Yoga for babies aged 11 to 36 months.
It is well known that Yoga has many health benefits for adults with its stretching exercises and meditation techniques. It is now implemented for infants to encourage mind and motor development.
According to the program, babies aged 11 to 36 months needs active play to achieve full intellectual and development growth. This stage is where the babies must play to its full potential. It is also important that you let them play and never say no because a babies world is a "yes environment". Playing is their learning ground for every things.
Baby yoga can contribute greatly on babies active lifestyle of play. It helps encourage baby's development through different body movements like simple steps and mild stretching. Yoga can also help to further strengthen the relationship bond between mother and child.
Other benefits are the following:
- helps in bone development
- improves coordination and mind reaction
- helps improve body organ's condition by way of exercise
- develops self confidence among mother and child
